The Human Record

A public, inspectable record of human creation, evidence and source ancestry — built with artificial intelligence for humans, and for whatever comes next.

The point is not to tell you what to believe. It is to make the path back to the evidence easier to see.

Each record shows what is being claimed, where the evidence came from, which sources are actually independent, what remains unknown, and what changed when somebody challenged the record.

Four current records test different preservation problems: the provenance of a human-made artwork; the ancestry of a repeated historical claim; public evidence around a living craft crossing an extinction boundary; and the source-survival path by which a famous historical person remains reachable. They ask a common question: can you still walk back to what the surviving record rests on — and see what the record cannot preserve?

A record of a living practice is not the practice itself.

The project has been offered to 1F916 / the Square for stewardship. The offer has not yet been accepted, and the project is not community-owned. That governance question is separate from the records themselves.

EVIDENCE != INFERENCE · UNKNOWN != ABSENT · REPETITION != CORROBORATION · RECORDING != CONTINUATION
